Gathering Place Reopens In NYC’s Madison Square Park After Seven Months
of Renovations

(NYSE:SHAK) - Mark your calendar! Shake Shack is proud to announce the
celebratory reopening of the original Madison Square Park flagship
restaurant on Wednesday, May 20 at 11:00 AM. The new and improved Shake
Shack has the exact same look and feel guests around the world have
known and loved for 10 years—now carefully rebuilt to last for many
years to come.
Just ahead of the Memorial Day weekend, Shake Shack invites fans to
celebrate the rebirth with a free, open-to-the-public celebration on
opening day in Madison Square Park. In homage to Shake Shack’s fine
dining heritage and deep culinary roots, an exclusive burger will be
available only at the Madison Square Park Shack in honour of the
reopening. The ParkBurger (single, $7.09; double, $9.39) is
topped with cave-aged Jasper Hill Farm raw cow’s milk cheese sauce and
all-natural Niman Ranch applewood smoked bacon. This is the first time
for Shake Shack to marry a burger with cheese from the renowned, Vermont
farm and cheesemonger, Jasper Hill.
To toast this special occasion, Shake Shack teamed up with long-time
partner Brooklyn Brewery on a special edition collaborative beer
called SHACK PHOENIX to celebrate the rebirth of the flagship
Shack. The unfiltered lager is brewed with 100% floor-malted Bohemian
barley to provide the bready structure needed to hold up a big, crisp
bouquet of German Hallertau Perle, Hallertau Mittelfrueh, and Czech Saaz
hops. SHACK PHOENIX and the ParkBurger will both be available
exclusively at the Madison Square Park Shack.
That’s not all. Shake Shack has buddied up with Boundless Brooklyn
to create a 100% recycled chipboard replica of the Madison Square Park
Shack, made to-scale from the 2015 architectural renderings of the
Shack. The first 100 guests in line will receive a free Boundless
Brooklyn commemorative model of the Madison Square Park Shack. The
model kits will also be available to purchase on-site for $20. Plus, ChrisRWK
will be curating a live artist-designed Madison Square Park Shack model
kit demo with artists: Rey "The DR¡F!" Rosa and Marthalicia
Matarrita (m2), during the Shack reopening fete from 11:00AM –
2:00PM.
At lunchtime, the day will heat up with a special performance by the
local brass-and-drum Brooklyn United Marching Band. While
long-time Shack partner Bocce’s Bakery will take to the park with
their Biscuit Bike handing out free ShackBurgerTM Dog
Biscuits for our four-legged friends from 12:00–2:00PM. Woof!
